This is great news for hypothetical fans of JJ, who left the show this season after Cook’s contract wasn’t renewed. But now, after a guest appearance in this season finale, she’s coming back to the show for another 2 years. Which is great for all the hypothetical fans of “Criminal Minds,” but not so great for Rachel Nichols, intended to act as a kind of replacement for JJ.

And I’ve now managed to write more than one hundred words about AJ Cook returning to “Criminal Minds.” That should be a news story in itself. (Deadline)
