Currently the series is called “More As The Story Develops.” When I wished I could “see more” of Olivia Munn, her suddenly getting a lot of acting work was not what I had in mind. Stupid monkey’s paw. Meanwhile, Allison Pill (Milk) joins the cast as an associate producer in a shaky relationship with another staffer. The reason the relationship’s shaky? The old and buster Spider-Man, Topher Grace, is set to star in Gently Down The Stream along with Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried and Katherine Heigl. He’ll play De Niro’s son, who falls in love with his adopted brother’s Latin sister. Eh, that kind of thing happens all the time, I’m sure. Justin Zackham is directing. (Deadline)

Rapper / actor / vitamin water aficionado 50 Cent will play blind DJ Shamus Cocobolo in Stephen Sommers‘ Odd Thomas. Yeah, that does sound odd. Based on the bestseller by Dean Koontz, the film’s about a clairvoyant short order cook (Anton Yelchin) who follows around a suspicious man connected to an impending disaster. Odd Thomas also stars Addison Timlin, Willem Dafoe and Patton Oswalt. (Variety)

Akerman, she of the universally-beloved Watchmen, is the latest cowgirl to get lassooed into the musical Rock of Ages, with fellow cowpokes Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, and literally 8 million others. Will Akerman be able to stand out in a cast filled with such heavyweights? No, she won’t.  (Deadline)

Best pals Bruce Willis and 50 Cent, meanwhile, are lending their famous faces and heads to Fire With Fire, an indie thriller about a fireman in witness protection. Giddiyap, Bruce Willis and 50 Cent! (Variety)

Ziering, who has a cool Bond villain name, has been cast in I Hate You Dad, an Adam Sandler/Andy Samberg comedy. Ziering will be playing Adam Sandler’s character in a TV show-within-the-movie, which is way too confusing to even think about right now, so instead I’m a gonna ride all the way to Texas. C’mon Whiplash, we’re off! (Variety)

“Jackson plays the son of a slain NYPD officer who, with his two best friends, joins the Police Academy. After graduating, he’ taken under the wing of his father’s former partner Captain Vic Sarcone (De Niro) in the ranks of Sarcone’s Street Vice Crime Task Force and he becomes part of Scarcone’s rogue task force.”

So it sounds like a little bit of The Untouchables, with a little, I dunno, Training Day or something mixed in. Hopefully this means De Niro will finally learn a thing or two about acting, and we can see what he’s really capable of. Do you think they can do another Fockers movie after this? (via Deadline)

The buzz on the trailer is that it’s, uh, not good (The Playlist calls it “hilariously awful”). And yeah, it’s pretty bad, but the movie seems more boring than hilariously bad to me. Which would pretty much be par for the course for 50 Cent.

First, he’ll appear with Bruce Willis, 50 Cent, and Ryan Phillippe in Set Up. The movie follows four friends who get caught up in a diamond heist gone awry. Couture will play an enforcer overseeing 50′s character. I’m not quite sure what that means but I’ll bet good money they end up in some situation that requires them to wrestle. So, if you’ve ever wanted to see 50 Cent get body slammed, this is your chance.

I question its trailerness because the “trailer” itself could use a little spicing up. It’s really just a confusing hodge-podge of sh*t. Plodding, dull, and doesn’t do much to explain or present anything. All we learn from this is that a young guy has to play Russian roulette. And Mickey Rourke is there. And there’s a guy overseeing the game who I swore was Jason Bateman the first time I watched this. Spoiler alert: he isn’t Jason Bateman.

Bruce Willis‘s steady transition into Vin Diesel is nearly complete. He’s now signed on to star opposite Paul Walker and a rapper in a heist movie. If he surfs on a missile during the next full-eclipse, the transformation will be complete. If the surfing fails, he will unfortunately morph into Steven Seagal.

Set Up stars Willis, Walker, and 50 Cent as a group of friends who get embroiled with a deadly diamond heist. The film’s producers previous credits include 16 Blocks, Righteous Kill, and Street Kings. So get ready to see a movie poster that includes diamonds, guns, chainlink fence, and a stenciled image of Bruce Willis spray-painted on a brick wall. (Variety)

We’re finally going to get the chance to see master thespians John Lithgow and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson engage in some on-screen tete-a-tete. The two actors have joined Lives of the Saints, along with Meg Ryan, Kat Dennings, and Joe Anderson. The film "tells the intertwining stories of a group of Angelenos seeking redemption for past mistakes, only to find that forgiveness comes from unlikely places."

They were originally considering the title Crash 2 but quickly realized it would be better to trick the audience into thinking this was a totally different concept. My fingers are crossed for a more Cliffhanger Lithgow than a Harry and the Hendersons Lithgow. He won’t stand a chance against Fity without his infamous furrowing of the brow. That move stops hearts beating. (Variety)

The skeleton monster you see in the picture above is the fragile whisp that used to be 50 Cent. The rapper has dropped fitty pounds to play a cancer-stricken football player in the upcoming Things Fall Apart. The film, directed by Mario Van Peebles and written by 50 Cent tells the stor– what? I wouldn’t drop $12 let alone a quarter of my body weight for a Mario Van Peebles / 50 Cent collabo.

50 Cent can now rightfully don an askew director’s cap as he has just released the trailer for his directorial debut Before I Self Destruct. Curtis Jackson aka Fitty aka Mr. Ferrari also stars in the low budget flick where he shows off his acting range (For instance, in some scenes he holds a gun and in others he does not). Beyond that it just seems like inaudible mumbling. And if 50 Cent‘s albums are any indication, inaudible mumbling sells like hotcakes.
