March 12th, 2009 at 10:14 pm Taylor: "I don't want to lose you again." Sheesh! Talk about an "oh, brother" moment! Who's writing this stuff this season? I guess it's like a stale candybar: even when it's this bad, you still partake in order to try and satisfy your craving. And this is pure schmaltz, make no mistake. And the really transparently written, unctuous bureaucrats and upper-echelon martinets (the likes of which are always a mainstay of "24") are especially onerous and shallow this season. The saving grace here is that this astoundingly obtuse and tiresome bureaucracy still doesn't come close to the actual incompetence and negligence being demonstrated by our real-life "leaders."
