Blart is one of those movies that had a great concept ready-made for an R-rated execution... As someone who loves Die Hard and, slightly less, shopping malls, I was ready to laugh my ass off. and then, well, y'know, I saw it. But credit to Kevin James. i think the guy's gotten a little caché with Blart, so maybe he can get into something a little edgier.
Observe and Report looks like it'll deliver on the funny, and will avoid villains on skateboards. Villains on skateboards should be reserved for films taking place in the 1980s, or in fictitious versions of the year 2015, in which case they hover, more than skate.
