Have you had it with so-called haunted houses that fail to give thrills or chills? To borrow the words of Nathan Fielder, most amusement park haunted houses are “where pussies go to relax.” This October, all that could change. Universal Orlando is building a recreation of the genre-mashing cabin featured in The Cabin in the Woods. And yes, it will have merman.
Universal Orlando’s Michael Aiello explains what to expect for Halloween Horror Nights 23:
We are building the cabin completely. You’re going to walk through a forest to get there. You’re going into the cabin. You’re going to go into the cube cells. We’re literally taking everything we can in the film and giving you a kind of best-of montage of the film with this kind of linking story. You’re going to be in the control room when merman attacks.
Halloween Horror Nights runs from Sept. 20 to Nov. 2 so if the bosses here at Break want to send me to Florida in order to review, I’d be open to that. And if they also pick up my meal and alcohol bills, I’ll gladly review those as well. (Zap2It)
