Will Gluck Time Warps To The 80s For ‘About Last Night’

Friday, January 21 by

Will Gluck, director of the surprise hit Easy A, has signed on to produce a remake of the quintessential 80s comedy About Last Night. Gluck will attach a writer and director, and produce under his Olive Bridge shingle. This will be Gluck’s fifth collaboration with Screen Gems. He previously helmed the 2008 comedy Fired Up!, last summer’s Easy A, the upcoming Mila Kunis/Justin Timberlake comedy Friends With Benefits, and a still in development vehicle for Emma Stone.

The original About Last Night starred Rob Lowe and Demi Moore, and concerned a couple who begin dating even though their friends disapprove. Sounds like literally every single one of my relationships. I’m not crying I just have something in my eye! (Variety)

Is that Will Gluck? Well listen up! Don’t you DARE remake About Last Night. Stupid Hollywood will pick a non-raspy voiced actress and some tool actor for the lead parts! Why? Just please tell me why? Honestly? Are we really that desperate? Don’t you understand that you can’t re-create magic? Didn’t you watch the South Park episode about remakes?
