What a waste of effort when you consider that a large amount of Jeff Bridge’s dialogue is virtually inaudible. I loved the rhythm and musicality of what I heard, but I missed an awful lot. Surely I’m not the only one.

It was one of the first things I noticed about the movie, and I, too thought that it gave the movie some authenticity. I think the Coen Brothers made a good choice.

Well that was a mistake… It was so obvious that someone decided they didn’t like contractions that it was the only thing we can concentrate on. There isn’t a “musical” rythem of the scenes or anything like that, it was a movie. It took away from the plot of the movie and wouldn’t allow us to relate to the characters as well. Everything sounded like they were reading it or something.
