While we wait for technology that can render CGI versions of the Rugrats cast that don't cause madness and leg-sweating, Hollywood has decided to move forward with a big screen reboot of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Lionsgate has announced that they're teaming with Saban to launch a new film franchise that will re-envision the property, however, it's a shame this is only now gaining traction. Philip Seymour Hoffman would have been transcendent as Zordon.

No formal plans have been announced but it would be a blown opportunity if  Lionsgate went the Jon M. Chu route for the new take. There are only two men I trust to bring us a new Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
