You've probably been clamoring for a sequel to Dumb and Dumber ever since you laughed uproariously at Bob Saget's antics in the prequel, Dumb and Dumberer. Well now, presumably thanks to the disappointing performance of Hall Pass, the Farrell brothers are apparently working on a sequel. One of the brothers Farrelly, Bobby, recently had this to say about a possible sequel:
"[Dumb and Dumber] has run a bunch of times on TV in the states, and kids will come up and they’ll be able to quote lines from that – lines that I’ve long forgotten. If we could get those two guys back together, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels that might be a worthwhile sequel – and that ball is in motion. We’re starting to think about what those two dimwits would be doing twenty-years later in life, and hopefully we’ll be able to come up with something worthy of a sequel.”

So a Dumb and Dumber sequel is contingent upon the original stars agreeing to do it. That already puts it ahead of the prequel, which not only didn't have Carrey or Daniels, but also didn't involve the Farrelly brothers at all. Let's go ahead and put this in the "might not be awful if it actually happens" file for now. (via The Playlist)
