While this sounds like a task that only James Franco would undertake (make a musical biopic that features NONE of the subject's music in it), it's a sad reality. Hendrix's estate isn't on board with the Andre 3000-starring film, and chose to withhold rights to the music, possibly just because they can.

Well, let's hope Andre 3000 is working on some psychedelic new tunes that will fit the backdrop of the era of peace and love, because if you think you're going to be hearing "Hey Joe," you're fooling yourself.

It will feature some early-era Hendrix performances of cover songs, such as "Hound Dog," "Wild Thing," Muddy Waters' "Mannish Boy," and The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," which is what everyone wants to hear.

WTF is "Mannish Boy" LOL.
