After an intense search of actors we've barely heard of, Sony and Marc Webb have found their Harry Osborn for the Amazing Spider Man sequel. Not surprisingly, the role went to the most buzzed about actor on the short list.

Chronicle's Dane DeHaan was announced to have won the part when director Marc Webb tweeted: "Meet Harry Osborn. So excited to have him on board. @danedehaan."

He'll join the returning Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, as well as Jamie Foxx's Electro and Shailene Woodley's Mary Jane. DeHaan turned in an impressive performance in Chronicle as a troubled teen corrupted by super powers. It's unclear what kind of work he'll have to do in this film, but would prove a fine choice if he suits up as the Green Goblin in future sequels. (THR)
