Tarantino’s ‘Hateful Eight’ Might Be Filming Early Next Year, According To Kurt Russell

He looks like a western film.

According to Kurt Russell, who was doing some press in Philly for an unrelated project, “I’ve got a Tarantino project called The Hateful Eight that looks like it may go somewhere around the beginning of the year.” That’s hardly an ironclad guarantee, but it is enough that we can begin to think that, after the drama surrounding the western’s leaked script, that maybe Quentin Tarantino is ready to get this guy made.

A group of actors got together for a reading of The Hateful Eight earlier this year, and Russell was among them, so it’s likely that several other readers will be cast in the film. Those readers are:

  • Walton Goggins
  • James Parks
  • Amber Tamblyn
  • Michael Madsen
  • Bruce Dern
  • James Remar
  • Samuel L. Jackson
  • Tim Roth
  • Kurt Russell

That’s a pretty Tarantino-looking list, so let’s go ahead and get our hopes up!
