Now Rise Of The Apes knows how the offspring in military families must feel. Originally, it was moved back from its June release to Thanksgiving to take advantage of the lucrative “get me the Hell away from my family” market. But when Martin Scorsese‘s Hugo Cabret moved into that slot, Fox felt it best to use Apes to close out the summer movie season with an August 5th release date. Also, Scorsese has friends. The type of friends with nicknames like Joey “Two-Times.” And let’s leave it at that, leave it at that. (Box Office Mojo)
