Syke! Mark Wahlberg Back To Being Cast In ‘Uncharted’

Saturday, January 8 by

Last week, Uncharted 3 game director Justin Richmond refuted that Mark Wahlberg had been cast as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie, and that Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci would play his father and uncle, respectively. Well Wahlberg is calling bullshit. The actor told Moviehole that David O. Russell is writing the script right now with hopes to direct, and the movie will be starring himself, De Niro, and Pesci.

This is irrefutable evidence that video game directors cannot be trusted. They’re all hopped up on Monster Energy Drink and Blazin’ Buffalo Doritos. My deepest apologies go out to the Nathan Fillion fans who got a surge of hope with last week’s false claim. The only way your boy can land the role now is if he takes drastic action. DRASTIC action **stares at you coldly** (/Film)

If you ask me one of these three things is what is most likely going down:

    1. Wahlberg is talking out of his ass and has no idea what is really going on with the movie.
    2. Russel knows Wahlberg is signed on as Drake but he doesnt want to tell Naughty Dog the truth in fear that they might pull the plug due to fan reaction.
    3. Russel told Naught Dog exactly what is going down and they told their fans they don’t know anything in order to keep them happy.

In reality it’s most likely option #2.

Video game Developers should have the choice of who represents their respective franchises simply because these men who are “hopped up on monster energy drink” are the storytellers responsible for the possibility of a movie. It is their ideas, Developers should have the choice instead of Hollywood, which often leaves a work of art marred with whatever seems like it will lure fans in ( eg: Doom, Resident Evil, and Mario Brothers)
