Rutger Hauer has seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. C-beams glittering in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. And yet, he still seems to think a remake of Blade Runner is worth everyone's time - but only if it's directed by Christopher Nolan. Hauer recently gave his opinion on the hypothetical remake while promoting his latest, Hobo With A Shotgun:
“If Christopher Nolan would be on it I’d say, ‘All right, go for it!' But otherwise you can’t do it. ‘Blade Runner’ is such a unique film. How do you describe a diamond? I don’t think you should ever touch it again.”

A Christopher Nolan remake of Blade Runner is admittedly fun to think about, but wouldn't you rather see him do more original projects? Then again, it would be better than, say, a McG Blade Runner. Or, gulp, a Zack Snyder Blade Runner. Time to die. (via Hero Complex)
