James Franco may “look” more like Jeff Buckley, but Robert Pattinson “feels” more like Jeff Buckley.
If he wants the part, I hope he gets it. It would be a great platform for his soulful singing voice!

I think Pattinson is typecasted, that’s why he tries so hard to get serious roles… I kinda feel bad for the guy.

I am Robert’s fan and I am certain that he would do great playing J. Buckley but it is just a rumor that he is pursuing the role. Besides as much as I like Rob, I think James Franco is a better fit looks-wise.

I am a Pattinson fan, but that is NOT because of Twilight, but because of his music & other movies. As well as his beautiful person/soul, much like Jeff. Robert does not want this part for an Oscar nod, …but because Jeff has been an idol of his for years…Robert is a brilliant musician/singer/songwriter/composer(-Rolling Stone)…He would have pursued music if he was not acting…As far as his acting, David Cronenberg was impressed enough with him, probably because of his wonderful work in Remember Me, to call him up for his new movie. Cosmopolis…Robert has what it takes for this role, the depth, the desire, the persona, the looks, the musical ability, and the age, especially over James Franco, whom I also adore. James does look like Jeff, but may be too old for the part when & if it
comes around, where Robert will be the perfect age!!! carolyn
