Ray Stevenson To Ray Stevenson Up ‘GI Joe 2′

Ray Stevenson, hot off of Thor, has gotten another gig that’s likely to get him an action figure – he’s playing a villain in GI Joe 2: Cobra Strikes by the name of Firefly. Not the most masculine supervillain name I’ve ever heard, but what are you gonna do? Ray Stevenson’s gotta eat too. I wouldn’t say this to Firefly’s face, though, since he’s described as “a saboteur, ninja master and explosives expert.” If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my life’s travels, it’s to never make fun of a ninja master’s name.

Stevenson is joining Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Elodie Yung, RZA and D.J. Cotrona, none of whom (except for Tatum) are returning from the first movie. This, friends, is what happen when a movie makes enough money to get a sequel, but is so hated by everyone that none of the original cast members want anything to do with it.
