Quentin Tarantino Wants To Re-Edit Django As A Four-Hour Miniseries For Cable

The story was plenty long the first time, Quentin.

Rather than make a new film, Quentin Tarantino has conveyed that’s he interested in adding ninety minutes of new footage to Django Unchained to make four one-hour miniseries installments to air on cable.

Why, you ask?

Tarantino offered, “It wouldn’t be an endurance test. It would be a mini-series and people love those. You show people a four-hour movie and they roll their eyes. Show people a four-part mini-series and they’ll sit and watch it all in one sitting.”

A true man of the people.

No timeline is set for this fanciful project, but there is some precedence here as QT recut Kill Bill: Part 1 and Kill Bill: Part 2 into Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, which screened for like a week in LA and a couple other places, and hasn’t been heard from since.
