Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, which started life as a prequel to his classic 1979 Alien but now just has Alien’s “DNA,” is being moved from March 9, 2012 to June 8, 2012. This is pretty interesting news, since it might mean that the studio has some increased confidence in the project. They have reason to be, since Alien is one of the most enduringly popular movies to come out of the 70s. Consider me optimistic (or some previously undiscovered snarky equivalent).
Prometheus will star Noomi Rapace and the script will be by Damon Lindelof and Ridley Scott. (via The Hollywood Reporter)
