‘Pride And Prejudice And Zombies’ Could Find Fresh Brains In Grahame-Smith

Wednesday, March 16 by

I could make a joke that the director selection for the adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is slogging along slower than a zombie with club feet, but I won’t. Craig Gillespie was the last director we heard who was being considered, and now Lionsgate has turned its attention toward the author of the book, Seth Grahame-Smith, and his partner David Katzenberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg’s wittle boy.  Who better to understand this material than the author of the book (since Tim Burton won’t agree to do it)?

Speaking of Burton, Grahame-Smith is writing Dark Shadows for him. Also, his other book, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, is being made into a film by Timur Bekmambetov, so if he’s chosen to direct Zombies he’ll be one busy bee. Nothing is certain though since Lionsgate is still considering other candidates. I’m sure if you stop one of execs on the street with your reel they’d be more than happy to take a look. (THR)

In that photo, is the author the cool-looking dude, or the other one?
