‘Piranhaconda’ Proves Team ‘Sharktopus’ Is Not Out Of Ideas
Roger Corman is playing god again. First, he created Dinocroc, and it was ridiculous. The second day, he created Supergator, which was very similar to Dinocroc. Later, he created Dinoshark and the now infamous Sharktopus, and it was good — because the Syfy network wrote Corman a bunch of checks. However, Corman has not yet finished creating his b-movie monster universe.
The prolific producer, who will have completed a film by the time you finish reading this sentence, has tapped screenwriter Michael MacLean (Sharktopus) and director Jim Wynorski (Dinocroc vs. Supergator) to make Piranhaconda. “What is a Piranhaconda,” you ask? No, you didn’t ask. You already know, because it’s really, really obvious. Officially, the beast is described as having “razor sharp teeth and 100 feet of constricting power.” However, we describe it as two deadly animals put together with laughably terrible CG for the purposes of creating a salable ”cult” movie as quickly as humanly possible.
Shooting begins next month in Hawaii. No word yet on if they’re also shooting Piranhaconda vs. Sharktopus and Snakerhinopanda at the same time. (Dread Central)

the way corman inspired The Asylum only to turn around and draft off their films (Sharktopus= mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, Piranhaconda = Mega Piranha, Mega Python vs Gatoroid) is like a piranhaconda eating it’s own tail, which i bet would make a bitchin’ tattoo.
