Paul Giamatti has landed a role in The Hangover Part II, Deadline is reporting. The Oscar-nominated actor is set to join the cast of the Todd Phillips' comedy sometime in the next few weeks.

Although nothing has been confirmed, many are speculating that Giamatti will take on the tattoo-artist role originally offered to Mel Gibson. Liam Neeson was brought on as a replacement for Gibson, but was then given a different part. Regardless of how it pans out, I have a feeling that this may finally be the film that gets the Oscar monkey off Giamatti's back, assuming they give an Oscar for "Best Legitimate Actor Appearing in a Scene with Thai Hookers."
