Paramount has ponied up some cash for the project First Man, written by Max Winkler and Matt Spicer with Johnny Knoxville attached to star. The film focuses on a man whose wife gets elected president. After behaving himself durign the campaign, the man (Knoxville) cuts loose and returns to his natural Knoxville-like demeanor. I think Knoxville might be the right man for this part.

Paramount is also tweaking their dormant 2008 acquisition Mustache Riders, which I can only assume is a political thriller. It's not, actually. It's about three criminals who search for treasure with a grizzled prospector. It's like Without a Paddle meets Jackass. Yay? The script is being changed so that Jackass co-stars Knoxville, Ryan Dunn, and Bam Margera can do their own stunts. Don't look for this one come awards season. (Deadline)
