‘Oz The Great And Powerful’ Gets A Sequel…FINALLY

Full disclosure: This might be a still from 'Lincoln'.

If I’m not mistaken (and I totally could be, because of my resolute refusal to do research on this film), Oz The Great and Powerful is a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, telling the story of how the Wizard became all curtain-y and frail yet powerful. So a sequel to the prequel would be tantamount to A REMAKE OF THE WIZARD OF OZ!

I know it’s early to start all this conjecture, but…Rihanna should play Dorothy. Casting anyone else is a missed opportunity.

Seth Rogen for Scarecrow, Donald Glover for Tinman, and Gary Oldman for the Lion. And the voice of Bob Odenkirk for a CGI bat character named Isaac that I just impetuously added to the classic beloved film.

Soundtrack by Bruno Mars with special guests Tegan and Sara, YACHT, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, and Paul Simon. (via A.V. Club)
