Oliver Stone, whose directing schedule seems to be at the mercy of public political scandals, has stepped up to say "Me too!" in joining the handful of other directors and studios considering an account of this whole Edward Snowden NSA affair that's been going on for the past year.

Stone has called Snowden a "hero" for his work, and Obama a "snake" for his "Bush-style eavesdropping techniques."

So, basically, none of what's been written in this article should come as any surprise. It would be far weirded if Stone wasn't considering a Snowden bio-docu-pic, and was instead considering rebooting the Major League franchise or something.

Oh, man. That would be awesome. Oliver Stone's take on Pedro Cerrano as an exiled dissident uprooted from Haiti after the earthquake would be really moving.
