The news that Paul Rudd was cast as Ant-Man now seems a little premature. Yes, he will star in the film Ant-Man in the role of Ant-Man, however, he won't be playing the Ant-Man we expected him to play. That role is actually going to Michael Douglas.

For those whose heads aren't aching by my eleqountly worded introduction, Douglas will play Hank Pym, brilliant scientist/original Ant-Man. Rudd will play Scott Lang, thief who steals the technology and eventually uses it to become a hero. Edgar Wright has said in past interviews that the film will jump between the 1960's and present day, showing both Pym and Lang as the miniaturized hero. There's no word who will play the young version of Michael Douglas. Maybe Emilio Estevez is available. (Marvel)
