With Kevin Spacey serving as the lynchpin of the show, and David Fincher still ostensibly overseeing the show (Maybe? Possibly?), you can't blame Netflix for getting ahead of themselves in tying up the duo for season three of House of Cards before season two even hits your broadband connection.

However, wanting might not be enough, as the series was created with a two-season run in mind, and according to co-executive producer, "Kevin Spacey likes to do movies, and Robin Wright likes to do movies." So there you have it.

Nonetheless, the conversation has begun, and we will just have to wait to see, possibly until the end of season two, when Kevin Spacey faces the camera, then puts on a party hat, shouting joyously, "We've been renewed!"

Which will probably not happen.
