Verizon may have thought they had Netflix over a barrel when they forced the streaming service to pay a toll for their high traffic service, but they clearly underestimated Netflix's ability to be dickish about the whole thing. As shown in this screenshot from Yuri Victor, Netflix has added a message so that Verizon customers know who to blame when their Netflick plays slowly.

Netflix chief communications officer Jonathan Friedland validated the finger-pointing by tweeting, "we're always testing new ways to keep members informed." Will Verizon respond by squishing Netflix's head after juicing their eyeballs? Not exactly. Verizon fired back with, "This is a PR stunt. We're investigating this claim but it seems misleading and could confuse people."

Verizon would be a terrible guest on Nick Cannon's Wild n' Out.
