NOW TRENDING:
Michael Shannon, the actor who was born to creep us the hell out, has been cast as General Zod in Superman: Man of Steel. Zack Snyder, the director, stated in the official press release:
“Zod is not only one of Superman’s most formidable enemies, but one of the most significant because he has insights into Superman that others don’t. Michael is a powerful actor who can project both the intelligence and the malice of the character, making him perfect for the role.”
Also, he’s effin’ creepy.
I added that last part.
Zod is a formidable foe for Supes, as he also hails from the same hood of Krypton and knows how they roll there. I personally think this is an inspired choice. Shannon is a terrific actor and it’ll be interesting to see him mix it up with Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, and Diane Lane. On film, that is. They’ll probably will stay far away from him when the cameras aren’t rolling.

Thank God their sticking to the same old formula. I couldn’t handle a new bad guy. Zack you better keep the same music too.
