The Mann best known for directing Heat has a gangster movie he needs to turn out better than Public Enemies. He's hired Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) to write the script about Chicago mobsters Tony "Big Tuna" Accardo and Sam Giancana. No studio has come on board Big Tuna yet. Mann landed Turner by paying him his seven-figure fee from his own development fund. No wonder the guy is smiling like a damn idiot.

Turner will work on Big Tuna as he preps his directorial debut on the revenge drama By Virtue Fall, in which Colin Farrell and Eric Bana are attached to star. Just keep Farrell away from the new Mann project. He'll want to grow his hair out again and spend half the film asking for Bacardi mojitos. We get it! It's Miami! (Variety)
