Remember All Dogs Go To Heaven? I kinda do, but I’d like to revisit it. What I remember most watching it as a kid is being really sad cause all those dogs were dead. Don Bluth gave me my biggest bummer of 1989.

Now that MGM has survived near-death bankruptcy, the studio is ready to make another animated movie, a mere 22 years later. They’re adapting the children’s book Punk Farm by Jarrett Krosoczka, whose story you can probably guess from the title: a group of 5 barnyard animals form a punk band. Will their hits include “Baconkrieg Bop” and “Psycho Milker?” I hope not.

The CG film will be directed by David Silverman (The Simpsons Movie), with a script by Jim Hecht (Ice Age: The Meltdown) and David Stern. (Variety)
