Eva Mendes is set to star in the Spanish Language film called Anxiety, which begins shooting next month in Vancouver with a proposed September premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film was penned by Hiram Martinez and will be directed by Patricia Riggen.
The film concerns a single mother (Mendes), whose thirteen year old daughter embarks on a teenage rite of passage in order to change her life. The production is being mounted under the Lionsgate-Pantelion deal, whose aim is to produce upwards of ten films per year for the Spanish speaking population of North America.
