The script Warner Bros. picked up for Matt Damon to direct will, it turns out, be directed by Matt Damon. And all is right with the world.

Damon recently confirmed that he will be directing a project in early '12, so unless he's got another super-secret project up his sleeve, expect Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses to be his directorial debut. As the title suggests, the film follows a dad and daughter through a multi-state crime spree. It's possible that Damon will star, but no news has broken on that front yet.

In the same interview, Damon dropped the name of one of the stars of the film,"The Office"s John Krasinski. So in addition to Father Daughter Time serving as the first film Matt Damon directs, it could also serve as the first critically successful big-budget film for Krasinski, who resume includes License to Wed, Something Borrowed, and Leatherheads.
