At a press conference over the weekend for Mark Wahlberg's upcoming film The Fighter, the actor let loose on M. Night Shyamalan and a certain piece of cinema known as The Happening. Collider has the delicious story of when Wahlberg met with Fighter co-star Amy Adams:
We had actually had the luxury of having lunch before to talk about another movie and it was a bad movie that I did. She dodged the bullet. And then I was still able to … I don’t want to tell you what movie … alright “The Happening.” Fuck it. It is what it is. Fucking trees, man. The plants. Fuck it. You can’t blame me for not wanting to try to play a science teacher. At least I wasn’t playing a cop or a crook.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! Night got told! It's nice to see that Wahlberg has the balls to call out his awful, AWFUL collaboration. Although I don't understand his strong desire to play a science teacher. Sure, it's not a crook or a cop, but it's a science teacher in a movie where you try to outrun the wind. You didn't read the script, did you Mark? Come on, you can tell me. Nothing leaves the SJ circle of trust ;)
