While Jake is prattling on and on about Source Code and Love and Other Drugs over Thanksgiving dinner, Maggie Gyllenhaal won't have to just sit there politely, nodding and clenching her firsts. She can instead tell the fam about Voice from the Stone, a supernatural thriller in which she plays a nurse treating a boy haunted by evil spirits. But the laughs don't stop there.

As she treats the boy and begins seeing his father, she too becomes haunted by whatever is out there. Because the boy is just a dumb little kid, it's up to Gyllenhaal's character to exorcise those demons for the both of them.

The film is based on an Italian novel titled Le Voce Della Pietra, which I believe translates to "Scary Little Boy Voices." (Variety)
