‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Starts Shooting In January 2012 Or Maybe Not

Are you ready for more Mad Max? Well, ask your local weatherman to make it happen. He alone has the power to get the forth installment of this series underway, because Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller is ready to shoot in January 2012… unless there’s rain.

“We will restart pre-production later this year and begin early next year—weather permitting,” Miller said acknowledging the year-long delay he and Warner Bros. had agreed on. “We’ve built the vehicles. We’ve designed the movie. The principal cast is locked in. The film is funded. It’s all ready to go. We just wait.”

This film has been in a pre-production post-apocalypse for years and years. I know everything’s in place, and that Tom Hardy (Inception) and Charlize Theron are locked in, though previously attached Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four) is now driving away from this movie on her motorcycle. Still, somehow I get the feeling this is never gonna happen, especially if rain is gonna stop them. Would rain stop Max Rockatansky from road-battling Bubba and Toecutter? (The Playlist)
