George Lucas doesn't just make films about wars in space. He also makes films about wars on boring ol' Earth. However, many folks were wondering what happened to Red Tails, about a real group of black pilots in WWII called the Tuskegee Airmen. The film has been MIA for sometime, with rumors that Lucas shot down director Anthony Hemingway and writer John Ridley due to creative differences, then reshot parts of the movie himself.

[post-video postid="214194"] However, from the burning wreckage - a tweet. Hemingway took to the Twitters, saying Red Tails would be released January 2012. He is the director, so that's a pretty official source, but single tweets aren't exactly The New York Times, so I'm remaining cautious. Or to put it another way, this might be "a trap."

The film's cast includes Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ne-Yo. In a related story, remember Cuba Gooding Jr.? (Twitter)
