[post-album postid="219902" item="2"]Kristen Wiig is parlaying her newly-afforded post-Bridesmaids success to get her dream project up and running. Imogene will star Wiig as the title character, a playwright who fakes a suicide attempt in order to win back her ex. Plans backfire when her plan forces her back into the care of her gambling-addicted mother.

The directing team behind American Splendor, The Extra Man, and The Nanny Diairies, Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, are set to direct from a script by Michelle Morgan. Wiig has considered Imogene a passion project for the last couple years and, in fact, mentioned it to us when we interviewed her about MacGruber. It was in that same interview that we learned somebody stole Will Forte's ass celery. It was a pretty revealing afternoon. (Variety)
