Production Assistants do grunt work on set, from fetching coffee to moving furniture in the production offices to moving furniture that will eventually become home to a coffee maker. Glamorous work, indeed. However, PAs sometimes rise up the ranks, and people eventually move and fetch things for them. Looks like Bobby Glickert is there.

[post-album postid="209183" item="1"]Glickert, a PA on Transformers and Iron Man, and director Justin Lin's former assistant, sold a science fiction movie pitch to Universal. From robot fluffer to sci-fi super-player. He's attached to direct and produce the film, with Lin and Scott Stuber set to co-produce. Universal is looking for a writer to pen the screenplay. Though plot details are being kept under-wraps, the word is that it's similar in tone to Heat and the Bourne movies. Here's what Lin has to say:
“Taking a step back, as a viewer, the tone and the gritty approach to the sci-fi genr taken here is something that hasn’t been seen in a while.”

Uh, hasn't he seen WALL-E? That shit's gritty as f*ck. (Hollywood Reporter)
