Stephen King is having a great week. First, Harry Potter director David Yates signed on to adapt The Stand into a cash-raking series of epic films. Now, Jonathan Demme has announced his plans to produce, write, and direct King's latest goofy idea. 11/22/63 tells the story of Jake Epping, a teacher whose friend reveals that there is a portal to 1958 in the back of his diner. Of course, Epping sees this as an opportunity to travel back in time and help Chuck Berry develop that new sound he's been looking for stop the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And thus, end the career of Oliver Stone before it ever had the chance to begin. (Variety)
