Ever since it was announced that Warner Brothers was saying “do-over!” after Superman Returns, the monolithic entity known as the World Wide Web has been crying out for”Mad Men” star and real-life Übermensch Jon Hamm to pla the Man of Steel. These desperate cries have continued even despite the announcement that the producers and director Zack Snyder were going to cast a younger, more vital, less-talented actor as Superman. And so Jon Hamm has to quell these rumblings himself, as he did at the Critics’ Choice Awards after being asked about it by MTV.
So, I guess that’s the end of that. Jon Hamm isn’t Superman, no matter how much we wish it were so. Wait a second – something just occurred to me. Have you ever seen Superman and Jon Hamm in the same room at the same time? And aren’t they about the same height? I don’t want to rush to judgment here, but– Nah, it’s probably nothing.
