Having tried and failed to make The Man Who Killed Don Quixote with Terry Gilliam back in 2000, Johnny Depp isn't going to let a little thing like bad luck on a cosmic level going to stop him from bringing the Cervantes classic to theaters.

Depp has closed a deal with Disney to produce a modern take on Don Quixote written by Jeff Morris and Hot Tub Time Machine director Steve Pink. There's no word if Pink would direct or if Depp would star in the film. The only thing that is known is that Gilliam and his terrible luck will not be involved. He shouldn't be too upset about it. This is the treatment one should expect when they secretly murder a gypsy in a hit-and-run accident. (Deadline)
