In today's breaking news about the star of "House," Hugh Laurie, Hugh Laurie had a chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat, with Swiss cheese and sprouts. Also, he's been cast in Mr. Pip, by director Andrew Adamson, adapted by Adamson from the novel by Lloyd Jones. It's not, as I had previously thought, about the man behind Gladys Night's band in the 50s.
"Mr. Watts [is] the last white man left on the war-torn island of Bougainville. Asked to open a school there, he reads the kids his favorite novel, Great Expectations. He bonds with the children over the book, which sheds some perspective on their own difficult lives."

I've often said that I would watch Hugh Laurie read the phone book, so I guess him reading Great Expectations would be an upgrade from that. (Deadline)
