Here’s Another Dude Who’s Going To Be In The New ‘Batman’

The casting news for The Dark Knight Rises just keeps trickling in. After locking down Christian Bale, then other leads (Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Mario Cottilard), and then the young ‘uns (Juno Temple, Josh Pence), it’s now being reported that Daniel Sunjata has been cast in an undisclosed role.

You may or may not know Sunjata from turns on “Rescue Me,” and “Law & Order: SVU.” Remember him in “SVU?” He was that guy? Related to that sex crime? Come on!

Given the epic scope of the past two installments of Batman, it’s unlikely the casting news ends here, though it’s tough to imagine what roles are left to fill. I’m still holding out for Nolan to drop the bomb and admit that Danny DeVito will be reprising his role as the Penguin. What a badass character that was. They might be able to get Jonah Hill to play him for a younger audience, too. (/Film)

Sometimes less is more. This could be really good script-wise and what’s in the can but if I were the producers I’d take an Indiana Jones bullwhip to the execs in post-production. Sometimes their approved editing just sucks. You go in with Citizen Kane and come out with Batman Forever or Spider-Man 3. If you’re not watching your work, they aren’t watching it for you. Keep an eye on jealous buttholes because they’ll do anything they think they can to put themselves over on you then smile to your face like a good friend. Then later you see that in your good friends, shadows what the buttmunches did, and act bitter towards everyone straining all your relationships.
