With the HBO Game of Thrones series closing in on their source material, is there a chance we'll see the remainder of the novels wrapped up on the big screen? Author George R. R. Martin says there are ongoing discussions about this.

Martin, who seemingly doesn't feel the pressure to just finish the damn books already, told The Hollywood Reporter, "It all depends on how long the main series runs. Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger (in scope). It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know."

No, George. We don't know because somebody hasn't written that part yet. I admit seeing Game of Thrones on the big screen with the budget it deserves would be awesome but it's also unfair to me. Back when I got hooked on this show, nobody explained that there could be a chance I'd have to eventually leave my house in order to enjoy it. That's dirty pool, HBO and not what I pay you for.
