Harry Potter Delay Makes Mall Goths Sad

Friday, August 15 by

I will express my distaste for the Harry Potter franchise to anyone willing to listen (and often to those who don’t want to listen at all), so I take a little joy in knowing that all those cape-clad fanboys and girls are going to have to wait until July 17th 2009 for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was supposed to drop this November. There are no details on exacly why the film is delayed so far, but it can’t be good news. Shia Labeouf almost lost his hand in a car accident and yet Transformers 2 still managed to stay on track. I can only guess that Harry himself was dragged off by a pack of wolves in order for the studio to justify the delay of what will inevitably lead to them stuffing hundreds of millions of dollars into the pockets of their invisibility cloaks. But, I shouldn’t be rubbing sand on your open wounds. In fact, if you’re a fan, you probably already look like the guy pictured below. Sad. Very sad.
