Jonas Cuaron, the co-screenwriter of Gravity, and son of director Alfonso Cuaron, has decided to take things in a different direction for his next film. No, he's not going to do a Death of a Salesman-type film to study the human condition. That's a metaphorically different direction.

He's going in a different literal direction. Down. To the bottom of the sea. For Atlantis. The film will dive down to the underwater kingdom. Reputed producer Akiva Goldsman is attached, but no director yet, though Peter Jackson has expressed interest.

It sounds boring, if only because people tumble to their isolated deaths much more slowly in water.
