You may have laughed when Hulu announced Hulu Plus, where for 8 dollars a month you can see more of what Hulu has to offer on its streaming video service. But now there's a legitimately compelling reason for plunking down what amounts to almost a hundred dollars a year for the service: The kings of DVD at the Criterion Collection have plans to add the entirety of their vaults to Hulu Plus. The first batch of these movies numbers at around 120 titles - here are a few personal recommendations from yours truly:

-Charlie Chaplin's City Lights

-Henri-Georges Clouzot's Diabolique

-Akira Kurosawa's High and Low

-Federico Fellini's La Strada

-Jacques Tati's Playtime

-Francois Truffaut's Shoot The Piano Player

-Brian De Palma's Sisters

And that's just from the first 4 pages of titles! And best of all, they're offering a week-long free trial of the service, although I don't know how long that's gonna last. Check it out if you're so inclined. (Hulu)
