By definition, a "cult classic" is a film that has acquired a highly devoted but specific group of fans. This is certainly true of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which has maintained a devoted following for more than 35 years.

And if there's one thing devoted fans of a cult film do not appreciate, it's when you go and screw around with their beloved film. But I guess Glee" creator Ryan Murphy didn't get the memo, since he recently met with Fox 2000 to discuss a Rocky Horror remake.

Other than the fact that Murphy brings a slew of "Glee" fans to the table, I don't see the upside. Mainstream audiences can care less about a remake, while Rocky Horror fans will feel alienated. Then again, I could be wrong. After all, it worked for The Wicker Man. (Deadline via Latino Review)
