When it was announced that Al Pacino would re-team with Glengarry Glenn Ross writer David Mamet for HBO's Phil Spector biopic, I got really excited for two reasons. 1) Pacino in an array of silly wigs. 2) Quality film-making. Today, we're given our first look at Pacino as the troubled producer.

Sadly, the wig Pacino wears is only mildly silly. I choose to believe Mamet and executive producer Barry Levinson are saving the giant blond afro perm for later promotions because where do you really go from there? It would be like using Bruce Springsteen as an opening act. Though only mildly silly, this picture is good for a few chuckles. Especially when you compare it to Wet Hot American Summer's Alan Shemper.
